From Town Moderator Peter Gossels:

I am pleased to announce that I have appointed Dave Bernstein, R. Blaire Davies, Jr., Alan J. Reiss, Jonathan Sieber and Lois M. Toombs to serve as members of the Electronic Voting Implementation Subcommittee and that Dave Bernstein has agreed to serve as Chair of that subcommittee.

The subcommittee shall consider how best to implement the electronic voting system at the May 2011 Town Meeting approved by the voters at the 2010 Town Meeting, to evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of that system, to assess the cost effectiveness of such systems, and to recommend specifications and procedures for use of such a system, in the event that the Town shall vote to adopt and finance electronic voting at future town meetings. 

Residents of the Town of Wayland, who may wish to contribute to the work of the committee, are invited to send their thoughts and recommendations to Mr. Bernstein at 25 Glezen Lane or by e-mail at dave.bernstein@comcast.net.
