On 08/07/10 at approximately 9 p.m. Wayland Police investigated a missing person complaint. A customer left the Dudley Chateau and failed to arrive home. The missing person's clothing and personal items were found piled near the waters edge of Dudley Pond. Wayland police and fire personnel conducted a preliminary search of the area. The searched continued into the night with the aid of a K-9 unit from Metro-LEC, and the Massachusetts State Police Air Wing. Wayland Fire/Rescue searched Dudley Pond by boat. The search was suspended at approximately 3 a.m.

Shortly after 3 a.m. the caller notified the Wayland Police that the missing person arrived home. The missing person was taken by ambulance to Metrowest Medical Center in Natick for evaluation.
