Preview of Board of Selectmen Meeting for Wednesday, March 31

The next meeting of the Board of Selectmen will be held on Wednesday, March 31 in Town Building.  Selectmen will first hear a presentation by the Finance Committee on the debt exclusion recommendations concerning various capital project and equipment.  After deliberating on the proposed capital plan, the Board will vote on whether to include a debt exclusion ballot question.
 
At approximately 8:00 p.m., selectmen will review changes to Annual Town Meeting Warrant articles that have been proposed by sponsors and petitioners.  The Board will consider the order of articles and make a tentative order subject to final review on April 12.
 
Later in the meeting, selectmen will be joined by members of the Wastewater Management District Commission to continue the discussion of siting and easement issues related to the construction of the new treatment facility and of the sewer use charge and estimated allocation of capital costs.  Most of the discussion will be conducted in public session, except strategy related to potential litigation over use charges and betterment assessments.
 
 
During the report of the Town Administrator, selectmen will discus projected meeting agenda items for the next several meetings, receive an update on flooding impact on roads and public buildings, and will discuss schedule and logistics related to Annual Town Meeting.   
 
The meeting begins at 7:00 p.m. in the Selectmen's Meeting Room.
 
Note, the Board will also meet on Thursday, April 1 to conduct the second of two public hearings on the renewal of the Comcast cable franchise license agreement with the Town that expires in September 2010.  There is no meeting on Monday, April 5, 2010.  The next regular meeting of the Board of Selectmen is scheduled for Monday, April 12, 2010.
