Wayland Elementary Schools Spring FUNraiser and Auction
The Wayland Elementary Schools’ PTO will be hosting its annual spring event, only this year’s event promises to be quite “unusual!” “Rolling the Dice LasWAYgas Style” will be held on Saturday, April 10, 2010, at Regis College in Weston. The event will begin at 7pm. This unusual FUNraising casino night and boutique auction will raise funds that will go directly towards the Wayland Elementary Schools PTO. Over the last 8 years, the PTO has proudly contributed over $700,000 to our schools!
“What a great time to be celebrating our community,” said Happy Hollow co-chair Susan Blumenfeld. We understand that people are feeling tapped-out by all the various solicitations they get from all the worthwhile causes here in Wayland alone and we are very grateful to everyone for their support.”
“The Gift Your Child” campaign was a great success for a first-time event, yet we still need to meet our fundraising goal so that we can continue to support the extraordinary work of our teachers. In the end, it all goes to the kids,” said Claypit Hill School co-chair Dana Volman.
This year’s venue will look and feel a lot like The Winn in Las Vegas! There will be a casino company running the tables, from Texas Hold ‘em, to Black Jack and more. For those interested in a little shopping, they can peruse the various auction boutiques showcasing sports memorabilia, women’s accessories, pet supplies, whole family gatherings, and Teacher and Administrative giveaways, to camp experiences for children. A little something for everyone to take home.
