Government inspectors check extent of flood damage

Wayland Town Crier 3/20/10: Government inspectors check extent of flood damage. Federal, state and local officials began touring Massachusetts Wednesday to first assess where flooding is forcing people from their homes, and secondly to assess where water had washed out roads, bridges or other infrastructure. The effort started with four teams, but expanded Thursday to seven as authorities got a sense of the breadth of damage, said Dennis Pinkham, a spokesman for FEMA's New England office.
