Emergency Planning Exercise & Fair

Want to see how CPR is done?  Learn first-aid essentials?  Get your blood pressure checked?  Learn about “the flu”?  Learn how to prepare for emergencies? (all for free, of course!).  The Wayland Board of Health and Medical Reserve Corp (MRC) will be administering Tetanus Booster and Pneumococcal vaccinations.

For all of this come to Wayland’s annual emergency planning event and fair.  November 7, 9-11am at the Middle School.

Each year the town’s Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC) conducts emergency planning exercises to prepare for major disasters such as hurricanes, flu epidemics, blizzards and terrorism.  This year the town’s Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) will be conducting an exercise simulating an event that requires the opening of the town’s emergency shelter.
Please join us on Saturday, November 7th from 9 to 11am.  You will learn a lot of valuable skills and help the CERT team prepare for an emergency.  For more information please email Joseph Boykin, CERT Coordinator (or call 508-245-9398).
