Wayland Town Crier 5/21/09: Freedom Prize winner announced. Wayland High School sophomore David Ryan has won the 2009 Veterans Freedom Prize for his essay titled "Legislated Inequalities: How the United States Taints Freedom." The honor will be made official – along with a $500 check – at Memorial Day ceremonies to be held at Lakeview Cemetery next Monday morning.
