Email sent to School Committee, February 10, 2023
Mr. Ryan,
I remain deeply hurt by the School Committee’s callous and retaliatory decision to remove me from my position without warning or explanation. Moreover, the manner with which the School Committee publicized that decision has left many, including a number of news publications, with the mistaken impression that I have engaged in misconduct. Those who know me better, have reached out to me fearing I am unwell. I fear this public humiliation was a feature of, and not a glitch in, the School Committee’s plan.
As you know, I remain deeply concerned that the actions and inactions of the School Committee, including the decision to place me on administrative leave, have been motivated by discrimination and retaliation for raising concerns about discrimination. To protect and preserve my rights, I have filed the attached charge of discrimination with the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination.
