Former School Committee member looking to become judge

Wayland Town Crier 1/17/13: Former School Committee member looking to become judge. Robert Gordon, an attorney at a Boston private law firm for more than two decades, has always wanted to be a judge. “I have wanted to be a judge for as far back as I can remember,” he told members of the Governor’s Council on Wednesday afternoon during his confirmation hearing. Gordon, who lives in Wayland and served on the School Committee, is one of Gov. Deval Patrick’s picks for Superior Court. Patrick resubmitted his nomination to the new council in January. He was the second nominee to appear before the eight-member council, which has four new members this year.

People Magazine December 2012:  Farewell Neighbor.  After Pam Washek’s neighbors stepped in to help the mom of three as she first faced cancer, she was inspired to create what’s become the Neighbor Brigade.  Sadly, Washek’s cancer returned; she died December 2 at 47.

Wayland Town Crier 7/9/12: Wayland residents join Board of Directors at Harvard Club. The Harvard Club in Concord (HCC) held its Annual Dinner at the Middlesex School in Concord on June 11. HCC President Diana Beaudoin welcomed over 60 alumni and guests, acknowledging the 375th anniversary of the founding of Harvard. New members to the Board of Directors were introduced, following a vote of affirmation by club members, including Robin Tapper, Jody Sabia Pongratz and Mandi Z. Kunen, all of Wayland.
