First Parish in Wayland: “The Hidden Wounds of War”

Join us on May 26 at 10 a.m. for a special service. Memorial Day is a national day of mourning for those who have died while serving in the U.S. military. For most people, this brings to mind the many brave souls who have sacrificed so much for the freedom of our nation. But sadly the ravages of war do not end on the battlefield. This morning we honor the many hidden wounds of war and ask the questions: Is this really the best we can do? Isn’t there another way? We will have extra time in silence this morning to reflect and sit in memorial. The service will be led by the Rev. Deborah Bennett.
