Wayland Free Library’s Community Forum, April 25

Come to the Wayland Free Library’s Community Forum!

The Wayland Free Library will be holding an open Community Forum on Thursday, April 25th from 6:30 – 8:30 pm to solicit ideas, aspirations, and vision for the Library from local residents that will help guide the Library’s strategic planning efforts. The Board of Library Trustees has engaged Deb Hoadley of Hoadley Consulting to facilitate the planning process. In addition to the Community Forum, the Library is holding focus group meetings with a wide variety of constituencies to learn how the Library can best serve the needs of the community. As part of its community engagement, the Library will also conduct a survey from May 13 – June 15, which will be used to gather additional feedback about the Library’s programs and services, as well as collections, for all ages and interests. Following the data gathering phase, the Library will submit its Strategic Plan for FY2026 – FY2030 to the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners, the state agency that governs libraries, on October 1, 2024.

Any Wayland resident is welcome to attend the Community Forum. No registration is necessary. Light refreshments will be available. The Forum will be held in the North wing on the main level of the Library located at 5 Concord Road in Wayland.
