Learn about two exciting options in Wayland to get affordable green electricity through Wayland Electricity Choice (www.waylandelectricitychoice.com) and Community Solar (www.pluginmetrowest.org). With these programs, you can save money and support clean energy.

Wayland Electricity Choice is a group electricity buying program from the Town for residents and businesses. Participants get more electricity from renewable sources for a lower price than Eversource’s current residential Basic Service price, with options to select 100% green or the lowest-cost Wayland Economy. Community Solar subscriptions offer residents a way to save money on their electric bills and support our clean energy economy. Community solar works with Wayland Electricity Choice.

Hear about 2 Town Meeting articles on climate before our May 13-14 town meeting. One asks Wayland to join34 MA towns that have adopted a more stringent energy code — the Specialized Opt in Code; a second would authorize the town to enter into a long term agreement needed to include solar at the new Council on Aging building.
