First Parish in Wayland: “Council of All Beings”

On April 7 at 10 a.m., join us for a very special Sunday as we listen deeply to the elements of our Earth and its inhabitants. All ages are invited to participate in this powerful ritual created by Joanna Macy. Come dressed as or bring a symbol of a creature or an element of the Earth. Together we will gather and form a council of all beings who will speak to the humans among us who are willing to listen to the grief and concern of all creatures. The world is indeed one family. This morning, we listen to the voices among us that are too often silenced. The service will be led by the Rev. Deborah Bennett.

First Parish in Wayland (225 Boston Post Rd.), a Unitarian Universalist community, extends a warm invitation to everyone interested in joining our services. Our vibrant, multigenerational community offers a sanctuary for diverse beliefs and passions. We joyfully offer our hearts and hands to build a more just, compassionate, and sustainable world. All are truly welcome, including LGBTQ+ persons. For more information, please visit uuwayland.org or call 508-358-6133.
