ADULT SERVICES

  • Exhibit: South Asians in Wayland. Since the 1970s, South Asian residents in Wayland have grown from about five families to 120. Come learn about South Asian festivals, dance, and food, and perhaps see some familiar faces from Wayland in this new exhibit. And if you didn’t know, there is a Wayland Desi Facebook group you might want to join if you yourself are from South Asia.
  • Clearing the Lost & Found. Now hear this: Items that have been in our Lost & Found for at least six months will be disposed of at the end of December.  If you think you might have lost something here, please ask at the desk.  In addition, check out the blog post on our website for photos and descriptions of a few of the items currently in the Lost & Found.
  • New Catalog on the Way. The Minuteman Library Network is rolling out a new online catalog, which Wayland will officially start using in late January.  It has all the features of the current catalog plus a lot of cool new ones.  And you’ll be able to transfer your Reading History.  Start getting a feel for it now at wayland.minlib.net.

Staff Favorites, 2023. Just some of the books we’ve liked best this past year.  Most are in the library, the others we can get for you.
