First Parish in Wayland: “The Day of Remembrance”, October 29

On Oct. 29 at 10 a.m., please join us for a service on the theme of remembrance. A traditional Buddhist story tells of a woman in grief with the true heartfelt desire to bring her loved one back from the dead. We have all loved, and sadly, have all lost. During the Mexican holiday, Día de los Muertos (the Day of the Dead) and the pagan ritual of Samhain, it is said that the veil between the world of the living and dead is thinnest. This service will honor those who have gone before us and explore the thin veil and our never-ending connection to those we love. Please bring a photo or memento of a loved one who has passed to place on our altar. The service will be led by Rev. Deborah Bennett.
