Learn to Draw For Life Youth Class
Fridays, beginning on November 18th at 4 pm at The First Parish in Wayland

Local drawing teacher, artist, and printmaker, Mei-Ling Ellerman, will offer her popular beginner drawing course for children ages 9-13 through ArtsWayland. The class size is limited to 6 students so that Mei-Ling can give ample attention and feedback to each student throughout each class. The course will start teaching the children the fundamental principles, techniques, skills, and confidence they need to draw for life.

Blue Train – American Roots Music Series
Vokes Theater on Saturday, November 19th at 8 pm
On Saturday, November 19th at 8 pm at the Vokes Theater (97 Boston Post Rd, Wayland), catch Blue Train coasting along the railway powered by a solid bluegrass foundation. Opener will be Cabin Fever, a trio with rich vocal harmonies, performing original music and ‘acoustic pop’ tunes that spans decades and tastes.
Holiday Block Printing Class
First Parish in Wayland on Saturday, December 3 from 12 pm to 2 pm
Come make fun holiday cards in this beginner linoleum block class. All materials will be provided for this class. You will learn the basics of the multi-step process of producing a print and carving from a linoleum block. The workshop covers a basic history of a block print and a walk through of each step from drawing an image that will bring a successful print, to transferring the image to the block, carving the block, and tricks for printing your carved linocut. By the end you will have gained the tools and knowledge to go and make handmade cards for all seasons and unique pieces of art on your own.
Wire Wrapped Ring Workshop

Join Neela Kiely on Monday, December 5th from 6 pm to 8 pm at The First Parish in Wayland for a fun and social workshop where you’ll learn wire wrapping technique to make beautiful rings! You will use sterling silver wire and choose from a variety of colors and materials such as sea glass and crystal to style your creation, and just in time for the holidays you will take home a beautiful gift for yourself or someone else. The cost for the workshop is $55 and includes materials.

Mosaic Tapestry Workshop
111 Riverview Ave, Waltham on Sunday February 12th from 9:30-4:30
In this popular hands-on workshop, you’ll learn how to combine simple and complex patterns to create a mosaic tapestry or carpet. You will make a 5” X 10” tapestry by creating intricate designs using Italian murano glass millefiori, glass, jewelry, fabric and beads. Design templates will be provided. No grouting required.
