  • The June Art Exhibit Through July 2nd.  https://artswayland.com/collections/june-art-exhibit It’s almost summertime and the June Exhibit is coming in hot! Please find some time to see the eclectic work of our member artists, most of whom are local, on display at the W Gallery until July 2nd. We are open on Saturdays from 1 pm to 5 pm and Sundays from 11 am to 5 pm. This exhibit can also be seen online at https://artswayland.com/collections/june-art-exhibit.
  • Dinty Child Concert, Thursday, June 23rd, doors at 7:30.  https://artswayland.com/. On Thursday, June 23rd at 8 pm (doors at 7:30) The American Roots Music Series (ARMS) continues to bring the finest in local and regional Americana/Roots musical talent with solo artist, Dinty Child. Dinty Child is a longtime member of the Boston roots/folk scene. A fearless multi-instrumentalist, he can most often be seen with the band Session Americana, as well as the Chandler Travis Philharmonic, the unapologetically loud and grimy Catbirds, as sensitive sideman to any number of singer/songwriters, including Rose Cousins and Kris Delmhorst, and even fronting the twenty piece party band, the Funky White Honkies. It is rare to be able to enjoy hearing Dinty as a solo performer, when his song writing, performing ability, and friendly nature truly shine. More on Dinty can be found at Dintychild.com. This concert is generously funded by The Lauren Dunne Astley Memorial Fund. The $10 cover at the door will directly benefit The W Gallery and its tireless efforts to bring arts to the community.

  • Trio Now Jazz Concert, Sunday, June 19th at 2 pm.  https://artswayland.com/pages/trio-now. The W Gallery is proud to present TRIO NOW. After being the rhythm section for many quartets and quintets over the years in the Boston and New England area, pianist Steve Hunt, bassist Bruce Gertz and drummer Jack Diefendorf broke out on their own to form the jazz group ‘TRIO NOW’.  The trio’s exceptional and exciting interplay and musical conversations during theirThis concert is part of the monthly jazz series at the W and is led by Berklee College of Music Professor and Jazz Chair of the W Gallery, Neil Olmstead. Please stay after the concert for a reception honoring the artists featured in our May Exhibit. The reception will take place from 3 pm to 4 pm with delicious refreshments and is free to all! improvisations have thrilled and delighted audiences who love the sound and concept of the jazz piano trio.
  • MXLR Open Mic June 15th, doors at 7:30.  https://artswayland.com/pages/music-exchange-listening-room-open-mic. Grab a ten minute/2 song slot by signing in on the chalkboard at the door. We’ve got a full PA, however we ask that singers bring their own microphones if possible. The gallery also holds a decently tuned grand piano, and our stage is large enough to hold a full band. Light percussion is welcome! The gallery has very comfortable seating, room for safe distancing if desired, great acoustics, and a wonderfully respectful listening audience!
