As the result of a recent Appeals Court ruling, cremated human remains in a Wayland churchyard will lay undisturbed for now. But attorneys for two different churches say they hope that resting place is anything but final.

Boston Herald 8/6/22: Appeals Court tackles grave issue, cites dictionary in ruling ‘forever’ means eternity. Even the dead have rights, the state’s highest court has ruled. This is a case about contract law, property law, trust law — and above all — “common decency,” the federal Appeals Court stated.
