WayCAM has always supported the needs of our community, during good times and during bad times.

The last several years have been very difficult for all of us; Covid has changed the way we do business, socialize and spend money. WayCAM through it all never skipped a beat and found a way to get important programming to our Town.

Over the past decade, cable subscribers have steadily decreased and instead people are turning to their computers for online content. What our community might not be unaware of, is that when a person cancels their cable subscription, they also cancel PEG funding that until now has almost fully funded WayCAM. Almost 100% of our PEG funding comes directly from Comcast & Verizon cable subscribers. Until this year, WayCAM has provided the additional streaming services and On-Demand content to Wayland for free. However, because Cable companies will not negotiate PEG funding from internet subscribers, WayCAM is no longer able to operate without additional revenue. WayCAM has had to rethink our plans for funding to run the reliable, transparent, and useful services you expect and deserve from us.

WayCAM is now asking our community to help support us by welcoming our new roll out of our redesigned memberships. Each membership is very modest in cost and designed for the individual viewer’s needs. You can expect to see this towards the 4th quarter of 2022, please go to https://www.waycam.tv/join

• Supporter Membership: $20 Yearly gives you access to our studio to produce your own show on the WayCAM Channels; plus, you can sign up for free classes to be trained on all the equipment WayCAM has to offer.
• WPS Student Membership: $15 Yearly gives you access to our studio to produce your own shows on the WayCAM Channels; plus, you can sign up for free classes to be trained on all the equipment WayCAM has to offer. You also have full access to our Public/Educational On-Demand and access to the live stream for the channel. (Must register with a valid student email)
• Silver Membership: $35 charged 3 times a year or $95 payment (save $10.00) for the year: You receive Supporter Membership Benefits with your choice of one live streaming channel (Public/Educational OR Government), plus full On-demand access to watch any program that you might have missed on our Public/Educational, or Government Cable Channels.
• Gold Membership: $45 charged 3 times a year or $130 payment (save $10.00) for the year: You receive Supporter Membership Benefits with access to all live streaming channels and on-demand content.
