Foundation for MetroWest Announces Pamela Lesser as Trustee Emerita

As a longtime trustee of the Foundation, Pam will expand her advisory and leadership in this new role

The Foundation for MetroWest is proud to announce the appointment of former Trustee Pamela Lesser as Trustee Emerita. A longtime friend and champion of the Foundation’s mission, Pam’s new appointment will expand her role and involvement in the work of the Foundation, its nonprofit partners, and the MetroWest community.

After a successful career in sales and management at IBM, Lesser has been an active volunteer for many years in the MetroWest community. She is currently chair of the Trustee Advisory Board and former chair of the CardioVascular Advisory Committee at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC). Lesser served on the Board of Trustees for the Foundation for MetroWest from 2009-2018, has served on the board of the Jewish Family and Children’s Service in Boston, co-founded the Hurricane Katrina Relief Organization Wayland to Waveland, and played an active role on the boards and committees of the Wayland public schools.

As a Trustee for the Foundation, Pam served as Chair of the Development Committee, acted as a strong advocate for the organization’s Youth in Philanthropy program, inspired the creation of the Foundation’s Youth Giving Accounts program for young philanthropists, and was the recipient of the Community Philanthropist Award in 2018.

“Pam is an exemplary leader, collaborator and neighbor to the MetroWest community,” says Jay Kim, Executive Director of the Foundation for MetroWest. “We, at the Foundation, are lucky to have her as a friend, supporter and partner in our work.”

“I look forward to continuing my work with the Foundation for MetroWest to build thriving and healthy communities across the region,” says Lesser. “It is an honor to hold the trust and regard of those who appointed me to the position of Trustee Emerita, and of the community members they serve.”

Made up of local leaders from MetroWest cities and towns, the 19 members of the Board of Trustees donate their time, energy, and expertise to helping identify opportunities for long-term community impact addressing the ever-changing needs of the MetroWest region.
