Wayland Town Crier 6/29/21: MetroWest Transit Authority to restart fare collection in October. Fare collection on MetroWest Regional Transit Authority buses will resume this fall. The Framingham-based transit authority’s Advisory Board, which includes a representative from each of 16 member communities, voted Monday to reimplement fare collection beginning Oct. 1, according to MWRTA Administrator Ed Carr. The transit authority will also explore options for a more technology-based fare collection system.
