Opening Day of the Wayland Summer Farmers’ Market

The 17th season of the Wayland Summer Farmers’ Market opens on Wednesday, June 30, 12-4pm. The Market takes place in the lower parking lot at the front of Russell’s Garden Center (397 Boston Post Road, Wayland). Over 40 vendors are signed up to join us for the season, with up to 22 participating on a given day. This year vendors will be able to offer samples, and there will be tables in an area near the market where you can sit outdoors in the shade with friends and family. Prepared foods will be available to make summer meals easy and delicious.

We will have some new vendors joining who were a part of our well-attended, mostly outdoor Winter Market earlier this year. These include Butternut Bakehouse, Boston Smoked Fish, Flores de Café, Foss Farms, Grateful Tastes, Mei Mei Kitchen, Nutty Bird Granola, and Roseadela’s. Vendors attending for the first time: ALLDAE Cascara, Joyberry Farms (mushrooms), New City Microcreamery, The Farmer’s Daughter, Victory Garden/Hyve (prepared foods available for eating at the market or take home).

Fresh vegetables and fruit, prepared foods, meat, eggs, maple products, baked goods, prepared foods, cheese, honey, seafood and smoked fish, bread, jam, dips, granola, fresh pasta and sauce, coffee, peanut sauce, bagels, pickled vegetables, tamales, alpaca products and yarn, wine/hard cider/mead and pet treats will be available during the season. Stay tuned for information about knife-sharpening services.

You can sign up for our weekly email (in season) to find out who will be attending each week through the Summer Farmers’ Market website. The market will take place every Wednesday through October 13.
