Wayland Board of Selectmen resolution recognizing Health Care Workers and First Responders

WHEREAS, our nation, Commonwealth, and Town struggle to cope with the scourge of the Coronavirus pandemic; and

WHEREAS, many of our Town’s residents and employees practice in the health care field and as first responders; and

WHEREAS, these residents and employees are placing their own lives, health, and well-being in jeopardy as they care for many patients in greater Boston, and beyond; and

WHEREAS, the tireless dedication and fearless efforts of these citizens deserve our steadfast support and encouragement; now, therefore, be it resolved

THAT WE, THE MEMBERS OF WAYLAND’S BOARD OF SELECTMEN, TAKE THIS OPPORTUNITY TO HONOR AND ACKNOWLEDGE THE HARD WORK, COMPASSION AND COURAGEOUS DAILY CARE GIVEN BY THOSE WAYLAND RESIDENTS AND EMPLOYEE FIRST RESPONDERS, WHETHER THEY BE DOCTORS, PHYSICIAN ASSISTANTS, NURSES, FIREFIGHTERS, PARAMEDICS, EMTS, POLICE OFFICERS, MEDICAL ASSISTANTS, PHARMACISTS, HOME HEALTH AIDES, AND MANY OTHERS, AS THEY BATTLE THIS PANDEMIC ON THE FRONT LINES.
