Veterans Day Program 2019

On Monday, November 11, 2019 the Wayland Veterans Day program will begin at 10:00 a.m. at Trinitarian Congregational Church, 53 Cochituate Road, in Wayland.  This is a one-hour event sponsored by the Wayland Public Ceremonies Committee to pay tribute to the American Veterans of the MetroWest area.  All are welcomed to attend this public event.

The program will feature the Natick Soldier Systems Center Color Guard and patriotic music.  Lieutenant Joseph Carroll, US Navy, will speak on “What it means to be a Veteran.” Lt. Carroll is a 2005 graduate of Wayland High School and holds a Political Science degree from Boston University.  After graduation, Carroll was commissioned as a Naval Officer and selected for aviation.  His current assignment is on board the USS George HW Bush CVN 77 aircraft carrier.

After the program, light refreshments will be served.  At noon, the Veterans Day program concludes with a brief service at the Wayland Veterans Memorial at the Town Building.  The names that appear on the Memorial, who paid the ultimate sacrifice for the Town of Wayland and their country, will be recognized.
