Learn about Climate-Friendly Home Heating and Cooling with Heat Pumps, June 11

Calling all environmentalists, lovers of all things sustainable, and those with older heating systems that may need to be replaced!  Did you know that a new generation of cold-climate heat pumps have significantly less environmental impact than conventional heating systems, can save on energy costs particularly for those using oil or propane, and provide air conditioning as an additional benefit?
Join us on Tuesday, June 11, 7pm -8:30 pm at Wayland Library to learn about heat pumps that provide both heating and cooling, and run on electricity. (The benefits get even greener when your electricity source is renewable, such as solar or wind!)
Come join us if you:
  • Want to learn why using electricity for heating/cooling is good for our environment
  • How heat pumps work
  • Don’t have air conditioning but want it, before summer temperatures arrive
  • Your existing system is more than 15 years old and you want to know about replacement options to oil, propane or gas
  • Want to learn about financial rebates, incentives, and the bottom line!
What’s more, you will be able to talk to contractors who can install these systems and hear from neighbors who have installed them in their homes.
We hope you can join us for an informative evening, sponsored by EnergizeWayland a local effort to help residents take action on climate change offering smart solutions vetted by your neighbors –www.energizewayland.org

If you can’t make this event, we will be holding a similar event in Concord June 8th 1:30-3:30pm – presentation & Q&A at 2pm, Concord Carlisle High School, Learning Commons (2nd floor), 500 Walden St, Concord, MA 01742
