ADULT PROGRAMS

  • Wayland and the Mass Central Railroad. In 1870 Wayland voted overwhelmingly to invest in the new Central Massachusetts Railway Company if the company would connect Wayland to Boston, as well as to points west.  Did the residents of 1870 make a good decision?  How would Wayland be different today if that vote had gone the other way?  When did service on this line end (not a simple question), and why?  Speaker Joel Angiolillo is a Weston resident.  Wednesday, May 29 at 7:30 p.m.
  • Help Shape the Library’s Future. As part of creating our state-mandated Strategic Plan, we’re holding an open meeting to discuss the future of the Library—and the town—over the next five years.  It’s essential that we hear from the wider community.  Please attend if you can, and offer your thoughts.  RSVP at info@waylandlibrary.org or 508-358-2311.  Thursday, May 30 at 7 p.m.
  • The Art of Ebru: Water Marbling.  Join local Ebru expert Dilber Er, who will give you a little background and a demonstration before turning the materials over to you.  You will walk away with your own beautiful creation. Space is limited, so sign up soon.  Saturday, June 8 from 1-3:30 p.m.
