Wayland Town Crier 12/14/18:Wayland parents scramble for child care after school start times change. Last month’s School Committee vote to adopt later start times next year at the middle and high schools has led to a new, but expected, dilemma for school officials: a greater need for after-school child care for younger students who will be getting out an hour earlier. A recent parent survey puts the number of students in need of such care at approximately 80, and Superintendent Arthur Unobskey said he has contacted the Recreation Department to find more locations and programs to satisfy the demand. He’s expected to report back to the committee on Feb. 11 with possible plans.
