Ballot Question 2 Explained in Presentation, October 11

The public is invited to an educational presentation about Question 2 on November’s ballot. Question 2 calls for a Citizens Commission to advance a 28th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution for limits on campaign spending and corporate rights.

The slide-show presentation will cover topics including recent Supreme Court decisions and their effects on democracy, why a democracy amendment to the US Constitution is being sought, and how people’s movements have won existing constitutional amendments, such as voting rights for African Americans, women, and 18-year-olds. Additional resources will also be available for citizens who want to improve our democracy.
