Pegasus Registration Continuing; Deadline April 2

The Pegasus Summer Program – celebrating 25 years this summer – is accepting registrations until Monday, April 2, 2018, and still has openings in some age groups. The school district program is for children ages three through entering Grade 6. It will be at Claypit Hill School this year.

There are openings for preschoolers and children entering kindergarten. Scheduling is flexible for this age group. Children may be enrolled three, four, or five days from 9 am to 1 pm, twelve hours weekly.

Pegasus’s standard hours are 9:00 am to 1:00 pm, but the program is open from 8:00 am to 5:30 pm with several extended day scheduling options within those hours. While there are still extended hours available for preschoolers, limited spots are available for K-6 children.

Currently, in the standard hours program, there are limited openings for children entering Grades 1, 2, and 3, and some specialty areas are fully enrolled with wait lists. Specialty areas are part of the MondayTuesday, Thursday schedule for school age (entering Grade 1 – 6).

For entering Grades 4 – 6, there are openings in all specialty areas. These include Think Tank, which encompasses robotics, rocketry, and strategy-based activities, WPKN TV Production, in which children videotape and produce a TV show about Pegasus, Incredible Adventures, which focuses on shelter design/construction, team building, and nature-based exploring, and Performing Arts, which includes theatre games, skill building, character development, and more.

Pegasus begins Monday, June 25, with the first three-week session concluding Friday, July 13. Session Two dates are July 16 – August 3.
