Veterans Day Program

On Saturday, November 11, 2017 the Wayland Veterans Day program will begin at 10am at Trinitarian Congregational Church, 53 Cochituate Road, in Wayland.  This is a one-hour event sponsored by the Wayland Public Ceremonies Committee to pay tribute to the American Veterans of the Metro West area.  All are welcomed to attend this public event.

The program will feature the Natick Soldier Systems Center Color Guard and patriotic music.

CPT Steven T. Kinney, US Army will be the featured speaker.  CPT Kinney is a 2006 graduate of Wayland High School and a graduate of West Point Military Academy.  Kinney has served in support of various assignments including Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan.

Kevin Delaney and his Wayland High School students will present their research on the documentary entitled: “The Great War Story of Herman Allen” and Allen’s time in WWI and as a Selectman in Wayland.

At noon the Veteran’s Day program will continue with the reading of the names of Wayland Veterans who have fallen in service to their country at the Veteran’s Memorial next to the church and Town Hall.
