Boston Globe 11/16/16: Construction begins on Wayland Rail Trail. A groundbreaking ceremony was held recently at Wayland Depot for the Wayland Rail Trail. The initial portion of the trail will stretch from the new town center development to the old depot. Town officials said community preservation funds, a state grant, and mitigation funds from the town center development will be used to pay for the project.
