Sudbury Valley Trustees (SVT) is offering a free Thanksgiving Day outing at Mainstone Farm in Wayland to celebrate local nature and wildlife on this day of appreciation and thanks. Join Lisa Vernegaard, SVT’s Executive Director, on Thursday, November 24, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm for a fast paced walk through Mainstone Farm and the trails of Hamlen Woods to work up an appetite for your Thanksgiving feast. SVT’s land conservation efforts throughout the region maintain safe habitats for local wildlife, including a number of rare species that are classified as protected. In honor of #GivingTuesday, the global day of giving back after Black Friday and Cyber Monday, SVT is accepting donations for Healthy Habitats for Rare Species of Massachusetts.
