Wayland Town Crier 10/22/16: Rail trail construction starting soon. Officials hope to break ground soon on Wayland’s stretch of a rail trail that will eventually connect Wayland and multiple other towns. The town has tapped I.W. Harding Co. for about a $400,000 project to create a section of the trail and make associated improvements along an old rail bed by the town center, including at the depot at the intersection of Rte. 27 and Rte. 126, officials said.
