Wayland Town Crier 5/1/16: Wayland High student shares struggle to inspire others. When Wayland High School senior Rachel Lorenc took the stage at the recent TEDxYouth@Wayland, she was “absolutely terrified.” And when she stumbled to remember some of her presentation, the supportive reaction from the audience put her at ease. She knew that she could continue and the talk would be a success. The response from the audience would prove to be symbolic of how her struggle with an eating disorder created an opportunity to feel support from those around her – both near and far – and how that support would be crucial to her recovery.
