Free April School Vacation SVT Nature Programs

svtSudbury Valley Trustees is offering a number of opportunities for children to connect with nature over April school vacation.

On Tuesday, April 19, at 10:00 am at Wolbach Farm in Sudbury, children in grades K-3 can participate in a Tree Journal Workshop with Katy Allen, founder of the One Earth Collaborative. This program is part of the creative initiative “Celebrating the Web of Life: Trees in Word and Art” offered by the One Earth Collaborative. On Wednesday, April 20 at 10:00 am, families can discover letterboxing, an outdoor treasure hunt for stamps hidden in the woods. Join us for a 1-mile loop at the pastoral Henry’s Hill in Framingham, to find a unique letterbox. Registration required at www.svtweb.org/calendar.

On Thursday, April 21, SVT is hosting an Open House from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm for our newly renovated Nature Nook at Wolbach Farm, 18 Wolbach Road, Sudbury. This nature resource room is always open for families to explore when visiting Wolbach Farm, to enhance learning happening along our .8 mile woodland nature trail. Bring a picnic to enjoy at a picnic table or the grassy SVT and nearly 3000 members protect and care for land and wildlife habitat in 36 communities surrounding the Concord, Assabet, and Sudbury Rivers.
