Manton Scholars Program available to Wayland students pursuing higher education who have been affected by a death or illness in their family

tpi_25_logoThe Manton Scholars Program is a new scholarship that is seeking applications from students who are planning to pursue higher education in the fall of 2016 and whose families have been significantly and negatively affected by the death or serious illness/incapacitation of a primary income earner, or the serious illness of an immediate family member (i.e., parent/primary care giver or sibling). Eligible students must have been enrolled for their junior and senior years at Worcester Technical High School OR must be residents for the last three years or more in one of the following six towns: Carlisle, Concord, Dover, Sherborn, Wayland, or Westport.

Scholars selected into the program will be eligible for up to four years of scholarship support at a two- or four-year accredited college or university, or a trade school with a demonstrated track record of successfully placing graduates in long-term jobs. Schools must be located in the U.S. or Canada. Scholarships will be up to $30,000 annually. Award size is based on unmet financial need.
