Wayland Town Crier 10/26/15: Ready to build solar panels in Wayland. In July, Town Administrator Nan Balmer signed an agreement with Ameresco Inc. that authorized Ameresco to construct and operate four solar facilities projected to save the town roughly $150,000 annual in electricity costs, or 25 percent of the town’s total electric bill. Residents approved the projects by a 272-29 vote at the 2015 annual Town Meeting in April.
