Weston Friendly Presents Bye Bye Birdie, November 21, 22, 27 and 28

bye bye birdieBye Bye Birdie tells the story of Kim MacAfee, an ordinary girl in Sweet Apple, Ohio, who is chosen as the lucky girl to give “one last kiss” to singing sensation Conrad Birdie before he joins the Army. Little does she know that this is all a publicity stunt by Conrad’s manager, Albert Peterson, and Albert’s loyal secretary and girlfriend, Rose Alvarez, to give Conrad one last hit! Mayhem ensues when neither Conrad nor Rose are willing to play with the planned broadcast on The Ed Sullivan Show, and you know there’s trouble when Albert’s mother appears in Sweet Apple to see her Sonny Boy! Featuring familiar songs like “The Telephone Hour,” “How Lovely To Be a Woman,” “Put On a Happy Face,” and “Kids,” this musical will have you dancing in your seats and laughing in the aisles.
