Feeling blue about putting your boat away for the winter? Even if you do not own a boat, the Wayland Sailing Association can help bridge the gap between seasons. Now in its 34rd season, the Association offers off-season sailors and boaters the opportunity to meet like-minded people for a pot luck dinner and a speaker on a nautical topic. The group meets locally in late fall, winter, and early spring. The first meeting is scheduled for Saturday, November 14, with guest speaker, Louie Howland, who will discuss his book, No Ordinary Being: W. Starling Burgess (1878-1947). The Association is open to all (current and former boat owners, sailor and motor boaters, and boat lovers who never owned a boar).
