Disagreement in Weston and Wayland on MCAS rankings

Wayland Town Crier 10/21/15: Disagreement in Weston and Wayland on MCAS rankings. While local school officials have concerns about how Boston Business Journal came up with their recent ranking of high schools based on last spring’s MCAS scores, they are proud of the strong performance of their students. Wayland came out as No. 25 on the list by Boston Business Journal. Superintendent Paul Stein said it is unclear whether the results included Wayland residents who don’t attend Wayland High School. “Our science teachers were particularly proud that we had no kids who scored failing, and then the results showed there was one kid, who turned out to be a Wayland student attending a private school,” Stein said.
