The Wayland Fire Department and the Wayland Firefighters are not conducting any fund raising and do not endorse any of the agencies that are making any of these calls.

The Wayland Fire Department has received several phone calls from residents inquiring if we are doing or are endorsing any fund raising efforts over the phone.  It has been reported that the callers may be referencing they are firefighters and seem to be very aggressive in their efforts to raise funds.

Several years ago the Police and Fire Associations stopped all efforts to raise funds via phone calls and have only done so in letters sent directly to residents and businesses.

We want to make it clear to all residents and business owners that these phone calls are not in any way related to the Wayland Fire Department or Wayland Firefighters and that none of the town’s firefighters are in any way connected with these fund raising groups.

If you receive any phone calls looking for donations please be very careful.
