Wayland Town Crier 8/14/15: Signboards get new life in Wayland. Have you noticed a recent change in the town’s roadside signboards? These 4-by-8-foot spaces usually announce town events like elections and town meetings. Nonprofit groups also use them to promote events like road races and blood drives. Since the beginning of the month, these boards have been showcases for bright, cheerful public art. One resident was so curious about the signs that she made a Facebook post inquiring about the origins of the “mystery art.” There need be no mystery – this is an effort by the Arts Wayland organization to bring public art into the community.
