Wayland Town Crier 7/10/15: Wayland doctor earns Special Recognition Award. A Special Recognition Award was bestowed upon Marc J. Homer, MD, of Wayland, on April 26 in Orlando, Florida, by the Society of Breast Imaging (SBI).
Dr. Homer is a founding member of SBI, an organization dedicated to saving the lives of women through early detection of breast cancer, and was the first and longest serving president (1984-1988) of SBI. His numerous contributions to the specialty of breast imaging were honored on the 30th anniversary of the society.
