Hydro-raking project to clean Wayland pond

Wayland Town Crier 6/20/15: Hydro-raking project to clean Wayland pond. Wayland’s Surface Water Quality Committee was charged by the Board of Selectmen in 1982 to preserve the environmental health of town water bodies, including Heard Pond, Dudley Pond, and the North Pond of Lake Cochituate. The committee was also charged to preserve Wayland’s Mill Pond, and accordingly is initiating a pilot hydro-raking project designed to alleviate the pond’s gradual in-fill with leaf litter and debris.
