Superintendent Paul Stein insists the job of athletic director is open, but ousted AD Stephen Cass says the district already has a successor in mind. Cass wrote a letter to the School Committee on Wednesday following a meeting in which the committee voted to refer Cass’s allegations of illegal and unethical conduct in the department to outside agencies for review.
