A new kind of Mother’s Day will be celebrated this Sunday in Wayland as the family of Dana Miller – who died three months ago after a seven-year struggle with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), more commonly known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease – organize a 5K walk/run to raise money for research into this mysterious – and deadly – condition.
