TEDxYouth@Wayland, May 9 at Wayland High School

TEDxWHO: TEDxYouth@Wayland
WHAT: TEDx Conference
WHERE: Wayland High School Auditorium
WHEN: Saturday May 9, 2015, 2:00pm to 6:00pm

This inspirational event will feature 12 Wayland High School and Middle School students speaking on a variety of topics ranging from race in a middle class suburb, to extroverts and introverts, micro-aggression, a transgender’s perspective, extraterrestrial life, and more. The event will also feature 3 live musical performances.

The intention of TEDxYouth@Wayland is to build community, inspire one another by sharing innovative ideas, and encourage understanding. We believe we will collectively leave the event with an overwhelming sense of joy and connectedness.

Members of the Wayland community have come together to support these students as they prepare for their presentations. Each speaker and performer has been paired with an adult coach from Wayland, and many other community members are involved in a variety of aspects of the event production from fundraising, to marketing, to stage production and more.

We encourage you to attend, volunteer and donate to help make this event a success. For tickets and more details about the event please visit: http://www.ted.com/tedx/events/15584 or contact Ashley Welch at awelch743@gmail.com or 508-740-3506.
