Register Now for April Vacation Programs with Minuteman Community Education

minutemanvacation at minutemanWondering what you will be doing with your kids this April vacation? Register them for Minuteman Community Education’s April Vacation programs! Our programs are available to students in grades 1 through 8 and will run Tuesday, April 21 through Friday, April 24. Morning sessions run from 8:30 to 11:30 am and afternoon sessions run from 12:00 to 3:00 pm. Register for just one program or bring your lunch and join us for the full day. Programs include: Artrageous Art, Aspiring Chefs, Beginner Baking, Creative Metal Welding, Creative Writing, Kitchen Magic, Make your Own Scavenger Game with iBeacons, and Wicked Cool Science!

Minuteman Community Education is a part of Minuteman High School, the award-winning regional high school that gives its graduates a competitive edge in the new global economy by providing them with a high-quality career and technical education, coupled with a rigorous grounding in mathematics, English, science, and social studies.

At Minuteman, students can currently major in 19 career and technical education programs at the same time they take rigorous academic courses, similar to those in traditional academic high schools. Minuteman offers a wide selection of academic courses and programs, including foreign languages (Spanish, French and Latin), art, Advanced Placement courses, and Girls in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics). It also offers a wide range of sports and does not charge any fees to participate.

After graduation, more than 60% of the school’s graduates pursue college or advanced training.

Minuteman has been spotlighted in several major media outlets, including The Boston Globe, Boston Herald, and National Public Radio. It was also featured in a book, Job U: How to Find Wealth and Success by Developing the Skills Companies Actually Need.

The Minuteman district includes 16 member communities: Acton, Arlington, Belmont, Bolton, Boxborough, Carlisle, Concord, Dover, Lancaster, Lexington, Lincoln, Needham, Stow, Sudbury, Wayland, and Weston.
