Beehive Art Offers Spring Classes

 

beehive artBeehive Art, which has a studio on Concord Road in Wayland, is bringing its program to elementary students at Claypit Hill and Loker Schools this spring.

At Claypit Hill, young artists will experiment and explore in Spring ART with new projects, techniques and materials, including sculpture, bookmaking, textiles, and painting. The program will build on the programs that have been running this academic year but will also be suitable for new participants.  The round of Thursday classes begins on March 26 and continues through May 21, 2015. The time is 3 – 4 pm, and the program is for Kindergarten through Grade 3 children. There will be eight one-hour classes, and the fee is $160.

At Loker School, Spring Art will run on Mondays from 3 – 4 pm for K-3 students. Dates are April 27 – June 8, 2015. There will be six one-hour classes, and a $120 fee. Children will experience a variety of art explorations throughout the six week session.  An introduction to art techniques is taught in a variety of mediums,  including watercolor, oil pastels, tempera paints, photo, print and pattern collage, 3-D sculpture, bookmaking, mobiles, sewing, and textiles.
