Wayland Town Crier 3/5/15: Wayland students in Emerging Young Artists Show. Wayland High School artists currently have six pieces of art on display in the Emerging Young Artists Show at the College of Visual and Performing Arts at UMass Dartmouth.
Work from Dasha Bobrova, Calvin Laituri, Latoya Nurse, Angela Park, Larissa Sehringer and Olivia Zhao is on display in their gallery. Approximately 30 schools submitted work from five or six of their students into this competition and exhibit. Two Wayland students won awards. Olivia Zhao won an honorable mention for her self-portrait, and Larissa Sehringer won the third place award for her sculpture of a dinner jacket made out of plastic forks and knives.
